Brazing help in/near St. Louis, MO needed

Anyone interested in helping me out? I have a loose cantilever post on a otherwise mint 1983 Hodaka made Terranaut (Touring Cyclist house brand) Wanderer. The bike belonged to my father originally and has a bit of sentimental value which is why I don't want to just replace the fork. Thanks!

I soaked it for two or three days and nothing sept a bruised wrist. Borrowed the campy bb tool last night from the shop I volunteer at and still nothing. Applied leverage via a 3' breaker ... boom. It spun right out. Nothin but rust. The bb shell is fine after a little cleaning tho. Thanks...

    mid-late 80's Schwinn Traveler bb?

Anyone know if the driveside bottom bracket cup is removable on a mid-late 80's Traveler (the one with the red/silver paint job)? ...it was on my 88 World Sport but this shimano cup on the Traveler is giving me a heck of a fight. I know they were painted in on some older Raleighs and I wasn't...

    Prepping for race

You're definitely putting more thought into this than most other alleycat'ers (that's a good thing). The fact that they've already published the route tho tells me its more organized than a traditional 'alleycat' or messenger race. Every one I've ever done (too many to count) is a show up, get...

    67 Typhoon rat

After a bit of research I've decided against the motor. I have enough motorcycles that I don't need a bicycle with an unreliable engine. Plus I live in an urban area just off a busy 6 lane street so there's no where I can ride it with out getting hassled. So, instead I'm building a wheel with a...

    67 Typhoon rat

I figured as much. I was also looking at those 4 stroke motors but I hate the cover on the non-drive side and the plate they mount on. And the 2 strokes are just so small looking. I'd get something like this for a tank and mount it behind the seat - LINK

Beautiful. Lovin the red and white and the full chain case. Where did you get the umbrella holder? I need to put one on my wife's bike, she flipped when she saw it!

Dropbar to flatbar road bike conversion

I use those (also called interrupter levers) on all my fixies. They work great with road calipers. Last pic on the right at the bottom of the page (the BRL54 Cane Creek Crosstop) - http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/brak ... -drop.html Tektro also makes a really inexpensive version.

    Prepping for race

My only advice is... don't be stupid in traffic and have fun regardless of where you finish. I've seen quite a few people get tagged in traffic during alleycats, I've also seen the people racing against them leave em in the road after having witnessed the entire incident.
