Lets see your dual brake setups

I've been thinking about doing a double caliper brake setup on the front wheel for awhile now. One caliper on the front of the fork in it's normal position, and one behind the fork on the same stud. I remember seeing a picture here on RRB's of someone who had put 2 caliper brakes on the rear...

    Glitter Seat Covering Material

Would anyone happen to remember the website of a place that carried pleated glitter vinyl material like that used on the old banana seats? I can find it without the pleats easily, but can't seem to locate any with pleats. I am pretty sure I saw that here back about 2010. Would really like to...

Bottom Bracket Pivot For Rear Suspension

I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone who sells a pivot for rear suspension. Would make building a rear suspension frame a whole lot easier. The company where this picture is from no longer has them, too bad, I really like the design. I've been searching all over, with no luck. Any help...

    Evans What Year Is It?

This is a pic of my sisters old Evans. Can't find a serial # on it, does anyone know what year it might be? It had an issue with the top down tube at one point...enough to bend the seat tube. And yes, the chain stays appear to be bent inward. How about those odd dropouts?

    Redline Proline Cruiser, What Year?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what year is this Redline Proline Cruiser? I looked here, http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/info/187/, but can't find a serial # like mine. I added the front brake many years ago and painted the sprocket, the red on the forks and the yellow on the bottom bracket...

    Wiki Bike Maintenance

This is a pretty decent site... I was looking up different derailleur chain sizes, (go down to chains), always seemed like kind of a mystery to me, but it shouldn't be so, pretty straight forward. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Bicycles/M ... and_Repair

    MY THOUGHTS ON BIKE PAINTING

I posted this in unchained's "MY FIRST STRETCH", in "BIKE BUILDS", I didn't intend to put it there and, I apologize. So here goes my statement...I've noticed when most people paint a bike, they strip it all the way down to the bare metal. I used to do that, but have found that the stock paint is...

BRACKETS TO MOVE BANANA SEAT BACK

I made two sets of brackets to move the banana seat on my 24'' Sting Ray back a little, to get more of a stretched out ride. Wasn't too pleased with my 1st design, so I made a new pair yesterday, more tucked up under the pan and less "added on" looking. Both brackets taped together getting...

    STURMEY ARCHER 3-SPEED TANDEM CABLE

I'm having a problem finding a Sturmey 3-speed gear cable, in a tandem length. What I'm doing is putting Sting Ray bars on my Schwinn racer, and the cable is too short, no kiddin' right? I figure I can use the tandem cable, and cut off the shifter end of the cable wire and fabricate a new...

    POWDER COATING OVER CHROME RIMS?

I knew someone years ago say, powder coating is so tough you can't hardly chip it off with a hammer. So my question is, can you powder coat a chrome rim, and use a rim brake on it? Even if you roughed up the chrome to give it some tooth for the powder coating to grab onto, could it ever hold up...
