The crank is perfect! Do a Google search for photos of "doodlebug car", that's what this build puts me in the mind of.

Man, I love those home brew creations. They showcase the ingenuity required of mechanics in the early days. Try to imagine it nowadays...
Don't even need a driver anymore

Looking more awesome. I thought at first glance of the picture of the chainguard hanging on the side of the hood you were putting headers on it too.

Nice match on the guard and hood. The wheel / bar combo fits. Ready to tie a bow around it?

Thanks! Still waiting on a tire. Lots of room for dump headers, thinking I’ll pass though.

Thanks!
The bow is a ways off. Still waiting on a tire, may change out the rear hub. A horn is in the works, and a couple of lights may yet grace the hood. A few little details to clean up.

After some tricky careful measuring I drilled a couple of holes in the hood for the mounting rod. It’s out of the grillwork now.

Took off the back wheel for service, current support rim is a Bendix skip tooth.

May try this chainguard on for size. Obtained back in early March at a swap meet before the pandemic became an issue.

It will probably be a little too swoopy.

Man I've been looking for one of those, if ya don't use it or decide to keep it let me know. Absolutely love the bike, I have one of those tracker hoods siting in the garden always wondered if you could mount it to a bike. Super cool to see it done :cool2:

Orange rear wheel???
