    Rode it around most of the day yesturday, at a rat rod themed Car show from the 'Sins of Steel' club here in Michigan. It rides great, the headset is pretty shot and the forks need to be replaced, but should be good for summer. Will get some rims and tires on it next week or so. Gotta lace...

    Thought it turned out pretty kewl. gonna ride it around at a couple car shows next week. its supposed to be the winter project, but needed somthing to ride for the time being. The wheels I robbed of mt 38 tandem, till i get time to lace up a set. It will still be a winter resto project though.

    I want to know why?

    everything I have read on doing a snowflake pattern has said that they are very prone to breaking when hitting potholes and such in the road. The spokes don't have any movment in them on a lacing pattern like that, it also mentioned to use good name spokes with the snowflake twisted pattern...

    yeah already have them, 12 gauge stainless steel lacing them into some velocity rims. think they'll turn out pretty kewl.

    yeah, my first impression was moped hub also. just because of the axel size. had to turn just over a 16 inch deep slot into it for it to fit the forks. fits very nice though! current picks should be this weekend.
