Went down to my neighbor friend Eds welding shop this morning. He's a military vet & welds all my stuff for me .

He welded the new steering tube on the Mercury fork , we mad a lucky 11 seat post & a head light bracket .

This iron worker is what we used to bend the lucky 11 seat post

I slipped the bent part into the old post then welded in place

Because it's 4 more than a Lucky 7 seatpost

I have a lot of fun making seat posts myself. All you need is some 5/8" rod and a stash of assorted seat posts, then your imagination is the only limit!

Made some brackets for the chain guard today . Used some of the strap from the fenders to make some brackets for the chain guard.

I also got the fender skirts fabed up , they will also hold the feeder to in place . Not a big fan of fenders one reason is straps just don't look good. but I do like the look of peeked fenders and with the skirts placed as I have them I will not need straps .

I used a piece of strap to also hold the bottom of the skirt in place . I notched out the Edege of the skirt so the strap won't slip it's locked in place

Here's a picture of the bike but this one still has the fender strap in place before I cut it off .

Haven't been getting updates, just catching up. Looking good here, dig the skirt/fender set up.

Unique skirt placement. They work well there and allow you to use the cool guard too.

Yes that was the plan , functionality as fender brakes , and room for the guard , also allows the lines off the frame & lines of the skirts to show them selves off . Thanks bro for the compliment

Really digging the custom skirts. Well done!

Wow looking good!! Your buddy looks really cool. No heat required with that press.

Skirt placement is awesome + goes great with the guard.

Kinda like it without the back brace..:39:

It's a 40 ton press not much slows it down .
Yes Eds is a top notch welder & great guy he alway helps me out and he won't let me pay him, I try to return the favors but he alway pays me ... Thanks for the complements . He's set in his ways . It's a small world our family's were from the same town in Connecticut & even worked at the same place . He lived in Vermont & so did I , now we both live in Florida on the same street but he's old enough to be my dad .
Here's a deck I built for him so he could get out to his pond in this wheel chair .
