Ok... So this is my dads shop.. not mine.... But its worth showing off.... He collects old gas engines and tractors as well as tons of other stuff...

I figured that is enough for one post

Does your dad come up to the Fair for the steam engine exhibit?

Yeah, He has done the State fair several times and brought up his big Avery tractor.. Does a display at the Twin Falls county fair every year...

WOW, Larry He has an amazing collection, I see some of the best Tractor signs ever on his walls, amongst everything else. I guess we all see where you get it from. I see LOTS of good trading material on those walls???

Yeah... He would kill me

The sad part is all the "good" stuff is either in the basement of the house or tucked away... This is just out at the "Barn" He also has a Museum display in Buhl (The Rusty Engine Museum http://rustyengines.com/ )and a permanent engine display in Brooks Oregon at the Antique powerland

It looked like this last year in Grand Forks, ND.

My new garage is smaller, so I had to take 2 feet off my workbench to make it fit. 3 different projects going on all the time.

Looking the other way. We just moved in, so all the extra junk and boxes get relegated to my area:

Larry, Looks great, Looks like you got all the bases covered for restoration work. Nice Shop

I already showed my garage, but I forgot to mention how I made my workbench. I only had 18 inches of width to work with in my 1 car garage, so I used a kit from Lowe's, called 2x4 basics, to make this. It is for shelving, but I made it into a bike workbench. I just adjusted the spacing and added a 4x8 sheet of pegboard, just as it was. I was able to take it apart, cut 2 feet off the 2x4s, to fit in my new garage. I didn't use treated lumber because it is indoors, so I didn't spend a whole lot on it and I've got a lot more room to hang stuff than the ready made workbenchs.

I had my tools on a wall in the shed, but since the shed is not heated everything started to rust and rot away...nowadays I keep most of my tools in the attic - not the most practical of places, but at least my tools are safe

That's all the room I got folks ! My Kronan is under a motorcover in the back yard, and my Locomotief I have here at work. I might just start sanding it down, still have a few hours of nightshift left...

Some pictures of my garage and the reason I my cars sit outside! The exterior shot is before the paint and trim were done. The building was a apartment when we bought our house. I converted it into a garage. The great thing about that is it has heat, water and sewer! I may never have to leave it!

Dad and I tore down a barn from 1901 to build this workshop in my back yard and a patio to match.

The 2 * 8 beams were 29 feet long and the two doors you see used to be one door and 2 feet higher just to give you an idea of the size of the barn we had access to

VooDoo,
I Love It, I could sit outside of that for hours and think about projects I should be working on, Rick

Freakin killer lil building.... I love it! Someday Id like to build something like that around my home town of Buhl Idaho... a half mile off the main road back in a corn field someplace... No house there just my little spot where I can go tinker, drink my coffee and ponder the good life...

Someday...
