how much should I use

What type of oil should I use to lubricate a shimano three speed hub. The hub is from the 70's. It seems to shift and spin well. I read somewhere on the net that I should use to low weight auto oil but that seems weird to me.

Yeah the other one is a 24 incher. I am debating if I should throw the rims and the grip shifter on my Schwinn typhoon. Not sure what I should do. That 26 inch jc penny is so light and with the 3 speed hub it will probably really cook! Oh the choices!

Thanks, I think it has some potential. I found a bike similar at a thrift store today. It has a three speed hub also. I only paid 5 bucks for it and I think with the two bikes I can make one good one.

Yeah I know how that is. The original free spirit was thrown in a field by my dad and then he threw out the rims and tires. Now it is rusty and in my garage. I still call him an ahole for doing it.

All you gotta do is keep your eye open. Hit thrift stores and used bike shops. Thrift stores have always been good to me. I hit them twice a week.
