I don't have a snow shovel, but I've got a couple of regular shovels in the garage and an ice scraper in the glove box. We're due some light flurries down where I am, but mainly light stuff that melts on contact. Just enough to slick up the roads and make people have spectacular car wrecks.

Anyone tried using bulk walnut hulls for paint stripping on bikes? How well did they work?

Looks like they used a lead ring (!) to hold the balls in place. The balls themselves look fine; its just the ring that's melted. Either that, or the pic is way blurry.

I dunno, more people die on the roads each year than in Iraq and Afghanistan combined, due to the cops neglecting minor offenses like running red lights and DWI. Still, wizzers do have their place.

I'm thinking about eventually trying to fabricate some fiberglass panier buckets for a bike, as an alternative to the traditional wire baskets. I could also fabricate lids, and put reasonably water-tight hinges on them. One small concern, though... Does anyone know how well fiberglass bucket...

That's the good thing about Texas. As far as I can tell, anything under a certain horsepower (25 ? Something like that) doesn't require any papers.

And the fact that the US will never have proper drunk driving laws because the drunks like to stick together and cover for each other, and the fact that a certain major city in Texas' red lights are now functionally optional thanks to an overwhelming vote against proper law enforcement by red...

Check your local laws first. Those might require a moped or motorcycle license in some jurisdictions.

Looks like a good option for those of us who don't have compressed air on tap in their garages yet, too. I could hang frames from a tree in the back yard and paint there.
