The only seat bracket tht is left is the one that mounts secures the mid spring to the underside of the nanner. I hope to finish that tomorrow.

I like the way this has turned out though. Took way more time than I planned, but when you don't have a seat tube, you gotta improvise. It's not every day that you see a quad spring nanner.

Another distraction at the office until I am able to work on SteamRoller this weekend.
I remembered that I had this custom chrome Shelby springer fork, so I played around with it on my Silver King Hextreme.

Wow that looks good!
This frame reminds me of the Chicago Monark silver king frame I saw for sale:

Is it the same type/era/manufacturer?

Awesome work on the nanner seat aswel, creative

Both were made by Monark Silver King. That ladies is from the 30s or 40s and it has round tubes. My frame is from 1948 and has Hex shaped tubes.

Slowly making progress on the last seat bracket. This will mount under the seat pan and tabs will allow me tonsecure the top section of the mid spring.

Also showing a great plate type vise which is perfect when you are bending small pieces. I think I have used this on every build off bike since I got it at a yard sale years ago.

Undercarriage is all bolted up for the nanner.

Now, I need to work on getting it mounted to the frame and get the sissy bar modified for the frame.

Got the sissy bar length figured out and mounted. The King Fish approve.

Finally was able to bolt up the entire nanner and sissy bar assembly today. I still to get better and proper length bolts, but this is a huge step. This is the first time I have truly been able to sit on SteamRoller with a solid seat under me. I may still add a V wedge brace under the front area of chassis with the wedge clamping between the twin top tubes.

Looking so good!

Thanks man. I put way more time into making the parts to get this seat mounted than I ever expected. I'm happy with it so far.

Now that the sissy bar and seat positions were locked down, I had to mock the holey higgins rack. I like the proportiions of the height of the sissy bar and the rack.

I'll end up attaching the rack at the front and then also in a hidden way to the sissy bar. I may not do this next though. I'm tired of making brackets. I may jump on the drivetrain next.

At first glance I thought you were going to put a Holley on the rack !

You're picking up on my plans for a rear engine drivetrain. :D :D :D

Everything is lining up nicely. I'm getting real excited on this one. Any hints on paint/upholstery and finishing deets? Whatcha got up yer sleeve?

I honestly still haven't given much thought at all to color or finish yet. Still working on the mechanicals. I don't even have a feel yet if it is gonna be shiny or greasy. Still many unknowns.

What colors and finish are you seeing when you look at it?

Details take time. Lots of great details in the seat and rack. Keep up the killer work.
