Later on tonight I'll mount the chain stays and make some drop outs then hopefully have a rolling frame :)

Haven't finished the frame yet still need more welding and grinding to make it look pretty lol I melted a hold in the seat tube and it dropped on my trainer and burnt my foot lol we'll that's what I get wen I don't wear my BM's lol. I'm going to use some filler on some of the holes I made I'm not good with a welder I had about 2min lesson and got told not to burn anything lol I'm going to weld the tubes on the bottom on the side and where I've melted the old frame as the slits on the side I'm going to weld a bit and filler the rest. think it will hold me and more I'll find a nice bit of ply wood and cut it to the shape of the frame and size it up and take some pics to see what you guys think too. I'm going to do something nice with the drop outs too :)

looks like a springer fork with spring but is rigid,so you could use your steerer you cut down, weld your bent forks (if you are making some)to the base of the steerer tube and have them continue up to the top near headset/stem area, find a spring, spare metal, welder and your imagination to come up with something, maybe even have the spring running vertcal

Oh ok I see what your saying I think I'm going to try and make them work. I've made all the top bit like with the spring and the bracket that holds it to the head set that bit that looks like a loo seat lol I'll take some pics later the only bit in finding hard it what to mount on the old forks that I cut I was thinking a bit of one bye one inch tube then cap the ends drill and tap them what do you think ??

I think your bike is great. My brother in law has a similar job and he makes whatever he wants at work. As long as the work gets done their happy. He is in maintenance and when he is NOT work they are even happier.
Thank you man if you think anything will look good let me know. Yeah lol I'm good friends with the maintenance at work there letting me use there shop :)

Just got to work and cleaned the welds up a bit I've got my back wheel with me today going to weld up the chain stays and weld the drop outs on. My chain stays are one by one inch box tube so what I'm going to do as far as drop outs I'm going to get a inch L shape bar and cut it a inch and weld it on the ends it so it works as a cap as we'll. I'm a bit worried that the wheels will look to big lol

What I'm doing as far as chain stays I'm welding a plate on the bottem of them to make them one peace then I'm going to hey a bit of 2by1box still cut that with a hole saw so it's snug on the BB then weld that on then weld the chain stay to that it's a lot easier then cutting the chain stays at a funny angle and getting it wrong like I did with the top tube lol I'll be happy I can have the back wheel bolted on tonight and filled some holes should be good I need to slow down on the build cos I'll have nothing to do wen it's finished if I keep going the way i am I'll be done my next week lol

We all gotta learn to weld I taught my self with a busted stick welder grabbed a heap of scrap and started welding. Could have sold it as a modern art master piece
