I have just rebuilt my New Departure hub, and am experiencing some problems. While I have ridden the bike with the rebuild, I have not pushed it beyond a slow cruise. The problem comes when braking. It can require a loooooong back-pedal...as much as two revolutions backward. Any idea what I have overlooked? Thank you for your help!!

when you take apart the hub check to see if the little bent arm that fits in the clutch mechansim is still there. look aat this post and read it through.
D12 is the part that might be bad- otherwise your missing some discs, should be about 19-20 about .75" tall.

if all your part clean up, it might be the grease your using, just too much.
