Knock off Stingray build

Since i pretty much finished my CWC build (just need fenders) i decided to look for a nother fun project
picked up all this from a buddy today for a decent price it was one of those lowrider bikes that he stripped down and repainted a normal color im gonna paint it that copper color eventually it does need a few things to at least make it ridable

chain,front wheel,chain guard,random B.S. brackets for the seat and other dumb things

here is what i have t work with...im gonna pull the rear rim apart tomorrow and lace the black hub into the rim i have since my friend took the rear hub apart and lost everything....

im using a 26'' front fork to kick the front up a little more until i can find a springer front fork and small front wheel

the rear slick has pretty much never been used..he bought it as a replacement for his pea picker repop but he didnt need it

woke up early wanted to start working on it a little more pulld the guts out of the black hub and put em in the hub on the rim fit perfect and works great

i dont like the look of the black bracket so ill be modifying this bendix one just the fit the style of the bike more

and i put the rim on the bike for now...spins perfect no wobble or binding so im pretty happy!

gonna run by my uncles shop and have him shorten the tube on the fork just like he did with my beehive springer a few months ago

last update for the day....i gotta find a front wheel and take a few links off the chain...im pretty much gonna be sing the front fork from my racer and i will use a 12'' front wheel from a kids bike lol.

got my clamps for the sissy bar at the local hardware store today and also shortened up the chain...all i need now is my front wheel and chain guard for now and it will be ridable :mrgreen:

Been looking at those clamps myself, how well do they hold, not going to slip on you?

I haven't actually tried them yet my buddy sat on it and they didn't move I am a lot bigger than him lol. And I robbed a lot of parts from my racer like the front fork crank and headbadge

Not much progress....trying to track down some parts.....like a chain guard,rear fender,stick shifter and the correct clamps for the sissy bar...im gonna be using the derailer from my World Sport and i have a 5 speed rear wheel from a stingray that is in amazing shape once i get all the bugs worked out it will be ridable im gonna get ready for paint

im 90% sure im gonna paint it like a Pea Picker eventualy ill swap the seat out for the silver and green one ......always loved that one my dad had one i used to ride when i was little (talk about having the coolest bike as a kid)
