This was bought at auction for a $1, it's broken skip tooth chain and sweetheart crankset along with the rusted wheelset were replaced with a the Schwinn mag sprocket and a red painted set of heavy duty tandem 26" wheels. Would this be a late 40's paint scheme? S/N is j07066 I believe.

I decided to keep the OG paint after rust removal and then clear coated it. Red painted 1957 Monark Kommet coaster brake rims were added with black primered bobbed rear rack. This is low budget for sure, have'nt spent a penny on this build yet. Stay tuned! :wink:

My first BO will have a rural theme, maybe a produce hauler. Starts with a 26" AMF Courier 3 spd. bicycle, haven't decided if I'll stay with this drivetrain. This is early in the build-up, now for the tear down. MG]

Found this 20" buried in a mound of later model Roadmaster & Huffy dimestore bikes. Checked out an old farmer who years back also operated an auction barn, several hundred bicycles were in piles along the property. Two-thirds of the bicycles were sold for scrap before I new about the bicycles...

Is this a late '30's Schwinn, sweetheart 1" pitch sprocket says it might be. Picked up four old bikes for $20 including this one. No headbadge, could it be a Schwinn Henderson model? I love this frame design, should I leave the patina alone and slap on some rollers? What'ta ya think :) "

Are you ever finished with a bike? You've seen this one before made better or worse with OG chainguard, updated stem & bar. I here PINK is the new BLACK :)

Heres the before and in-progress black bike build-up, I really like it so far. Chrome Spaceliner fork (adding chrome trusses), 1950's colors of black N rose, dug out an old star cut sprocket I had. Of course I mounted my new red tires on nice chrome rims! :wink...

This is a big hit in the farming community where I live, at least for the JD owners. I only get one station on the AM transistor radio on the handlebars, of course it's a country music station.
