    TRADITIONAL Raleigh-Up

Plan is to turn this into nice rider. Before tearing this down I put on new tires, new shifter cabling, and a some strategically place drops of oil. I wanted to ride it in its original condition. It’s heavy. It’s tired. It’s classy as sassy. The brooks saddle didn’t survive 2 miles...

    Early 60s Raleigh Sports

Just picked this one up! Working dynamo front hub. Locking fork but the key is missing. 1962 license plate SA hub stamped 1960 It has a horn that takes a D cell battery. The reflectors on the wheels are curious. I thought that started in the mid 70s. Maybe they were added?

Help identifying a couple barn finds

A friend just sent me these pictures from his late father in laws garage. The first bike has a head-badge that reads “BIRD Rowletts”. Rowletts was a bike store here in Richmond that shut down a few years back. My guess (based on limited experience) is a pre-war Shelby. Would love some...

    Funkliner

This was fun. There was a lot of experimenting with paint. I learned some things that didn’t work and also learned some things that did work. It was also my first try at an oxalic acid bath. A technique that surely will be useful in the future. Thanks everyone for your help and interest...

    Withdrawn 25in 64cm XL Frame-Raleigh Technium. $150 shipped

Frame is in great shape. Extra large frame for tall rider. Aluminum top tube, down tube, and seat tub. Lugged to some sort of steal rear triangle. Rear brake outer cable is internally routed. I left the old cable installed as it might be helpful to pull a new cable housing through...

    FOUND Suntour roller cam bolt

This is a long shot… I am missing one bolt to attach a Suntour Roller Cam Brake Pictured below are two bolts. The bottom one is correct. The shank needs to be 6mm long. The top bolt shank is .5mm too short, which causes it to pinch the brake arm in place. I may try to file the...

    Schwinn High Sierra. 1986?

Just picked this one up. Couldn’t resist. Will get a deluxe tune up and detailing and will then be looking for a new owner. I’m guessing 1986 based on the stamp on the rear hub.
