    Choppacycle No.2

Afraid not matey, between being out of work and really rather poor (can't afford new chains, wheels, cables etc), and a rather unpleasant arthritis like illness knackering my spine recently I haven't been in the garage :( I'm going to be making a concerted effort to get out there again really...

Tempe Showdown (AZ Chop Shop vs. Wacko's Garage)

I know this is a relatively old thread, but I've just found it - it's awesome!! fantastic build!

    Choppacycle No.2

Got to it again in the garage for about 4 hours, got a back end on the bike now, not entirely happy with how the back wheel is connected to the rear frame, so I may chop that off, do it again, and bring the wheel a little closer to the seat - as soon as I can figure out a way of getting from...

    The Rustman - NEW photos!

Re: The Rustman Wow, I can't believe people have to work to get stuff rusty, over here in the UK, if I leave metal in my garage overnight it starts going rusty!

    B-52 trike

That's awesome, thanks for explaining it! (I'm enjoying the learning :D )

    B-52 trike

Love the work so far! Can I just ask a question though (I'm a bit thick sometimes!), if the drive is going to the slowest wheel wouldn't that be a problem on corners? If you do a sharp left turn for instance, the left (inner) wheel hardly moves and the right (outer) wheel has to go like buggery...

    Choppacycle No.2

Cheers guys! I may be using the stock front Luke, I'd like to make my own, but, I could do with flogging my first build to buy more steel for a front end. The next bike I've got in place may get a new front, but I really want to build some springers at some point!

    First build

Thanks gents! I think I'm going to leave the bars as is, it's good to know for next time though. In a strange way I think they kind of suit the bike. The next build has inch and a quarter tube as opposed to inch, that looks better too IMO. Hey, it's a learning process and I'm loving it! No...

    3 new bicycles from occ

OCC are pretty much a joke in the motorcycle world, it now appears to be similar for cycles too. IMO the only people that are actually talented on these shows are Rick and Vinnie, certainly not the Pauls. It'd be interesting to see how they build them, as the majority of motorcycle stuff is a...

    OI OI!!!

Bonjour one and all!!! Thanks for the warm welcome! I haven't been back onto this thread for a few days, finished off the stretch jobbie, now onto the 'Choppacycle No.2' (it's in the builds from scratch bit). Cheers chaps! I don't really know anything of the non-motorised scene here in the...

Aligning the crank tips and suicide shifter anyone?

Of course it is  I told you I was a bit tired  Thanks Glen

Aligning the crank tips and suicide shifter anyone?

Maybe because I'm a bit tired, but what's a BB?

    Choppacycle No.2

Thought I'd let you know about another little cycle build seeing as I have finished the first one (other than a little bit of paint needed now). Here's an old crusty donor bike Started with some monster bits of card, and put the wheels against it with a spread that I liked, then drew a...

    BSA motorcycle inspired first build

Fantastic thread matey, loving reading through it! Is there enough strength there at the top of the springers if they're mounted to the stem? I think it's great to see the progress you're making :D :D

Aligning the crank tips and suicide shifter anyone?

Hey guys When you do a full build, do you jig up the frame or can anyone suggest another way of assuring the crank is spot on. I've found with the recent first build, a couple of degrees means it's really out if you're using the outside of multiple sprockets on there. Also, has anyone used a...

    My scratch built bikes

Fortunately I've got a tube bender, it's the roller that's uber expensive over here, nice idea though thanks! :D

    Heavyweight build "FATBOB" CHANGES!

Re: Single sided stay/forks lowrider? chopper? muscle? Love it so far! I think you're right about the 'tank' I was going to build something into mine for storage but the very same reason. A long crossbar can look a bit bare - mind you, the tube I used for mine was too small - not a problem...

    First build

Thanks mate, I should have pulled the grips part of them back a little for comfort really, but, they're all good in the mean time :D So what have I been up to today .... Added a brace to the crank, also painted everything black (interesting when mixing the different types of black I had)...

    First build

I'm easy either way mate, I just didn't want to get in trouble just as soon as I get on the board LOL I'm teaching myself all of it mate, so, if I can do it, anyone can. Treat yourself to a little mig unit and practice practice practice :D
