    Schwinn Corvette

I'm finding it impossible so far to find out the steer tube size on the bike from any literature available on the net.. according to the Schwinn website, on the 2011 models, the tube is 1 1/8". I can't find any specific info for the 2008 model.

    Schwinn Corvette

Based on what I can tell so far, it's 2008. I haven't picked it up yet, but I'm getting it tomorrow morning. I'm paying $80 for it and it's like new condition.. I'm hoping that's a decent price. So if it's a 1" Steerer then I need to find a springer fork that's 1" as well correct? Sorry, but...

    Schwinn Corvette

Hey guys.. I'm picking up a used Schwinn Corvette repro tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone would know the headset size? I'm looking to order a springer fork, new headset, and apehangers. The Nirve Springer fork I'm looking at buying is 1 1/8". I'm guessing that'll work, but an affirmation...

GT Pro Series at a garage sale

well, sadly the bike sold today. I wasn't really planning on it, but I was offered $100 for it and I jumped on it. I guess that money will go into the RatRod fund. I'm really looking forward to building up a bike so that money can go to good use. 8)

Thanks Snyder for that find. The lines are similar and I can picture it working out well in my head. On top of that, you managed to save me some extra money too!

    First RatRod build advice

Hey guys, I'm all geeked out and ready to go after building my first RatRod. Need just a little advice if you could help me out.. First, I'm going to buy a Huffy Cranbrook for the parts more than the bike. I need advice on finding a frame that's got the same lines/feel as the Electra Rat Fink...

GT Pro Series at a garage sale

Thanks! Kind of nice to hear someone say "Nothing wrong with a bmx commuter". A lot of people think I'm crazy. I put a bike rack on the back and gel pad on the sat and now I'm rolling comfortably with storage. Honestly, with my seat post set to a comfortable height for my knees, it's not much...

GT Pro Series at a garage sale

Today was a lucky day. I walked into a garage sale and low and behold there's a 1998 GT Pro Series BMX bike sitting there in pretty good condition for a measley $40. Needless to say, I snatched it up. The CroMo frames on those bikes are near indestructable. So the plan is to turn this bike into...

    New guy from Fl

Hello all, I've been a bike guy for a long time and a frequent forum member of other sites. To be honest, I'm not one of those people who feel like if you own the latest carbon fiber addon, it makes you a better cyclist. I love to talk about bikes and I find myself in good company if others I'm...
