Anyone on here ever turn a Hawthorne motorbike into a mountain bike. Looking for ideas?

Have any of you guys bought one of the retro Lincoln skip tooth sprockets? Advertised to fit the later model Shimano. Looks to be laser cut. Mine appears to be so poorly cut that it will take a lot of filling to get it fit to anything. Am I just unlucky or is this quality common?
