I must be going too slow. I've got four bikes with Shimano CB110's and I've always been able to lock them up. Never had any issues. Even after rebuilding them myself. They are easy to overhaul. Parts are available. I've heard the Velosteel is the best quality though.

No blues here despite the 5F and 2ft of snow. I traded 6 flipable dumpster finds from the summer for a paint job on my latest project bike. My third KK stretch is being painted as I type. Chain width is more dependent on type of riding and if you have more than one gear or not. If its one speed I would say its up to you. If its coaster brake I would reccomend 1/8" chain.

Windex all the way! As long as both surfaces are clean. This has only worked with newer rubber grips. Old dried up crusty ones will need some sort of adhesive.

I like how "Don" refered to it as a toy. I've never thought of bikes as being a toy. Bikes have always been in its own category for me. Toys, furniture, bikes, my wife's crap... Etc

I'm not surprised by your springer issues. I would suggest holding off untill you can find a springer from a Kustom Kruiser or something. Just keep looking in the for sale section on all the different bike forums. Place a wanted ad even. I have to KK roadsters and the springers are sweet. I had...
