has anyone ever build a chain guard for a multi speed bike?

this is why i want a chain guard on my bike builds, but folks keep telling me that you cant put a chain guard on multi speed bikes.

I am not a regular on this forum because i cant ride these bikes, but I just want to say I think ratrodbikes has the best bike porn on the net I have seen. you guys not only make great bikes, but they are so beautifully photographed.

I need bicycle rims powder coated. eventually i will need the whole frame powder coated, but right now i just need the bicycle rims powder coated, which i can simply mail to anyone in the us or canada and have them send them back, i mean the rims dont have to be done locally. can anyone recommend
