Coulda been a BBO contendah! Red Bull Street Fighter one-post build

Thanks, guys! Minor update: I replaced the junky rear "shock" with a real Fox air unit that took out the bobbing and smoothed out the ride nicely once I got it to 260psi. Also, my rear derailleur has developed a mind of its own, so I have to sort that out, but otherwise, it's great and getting...

Coulda been a BBO contendah! Red Bull Street Fighter one-post build

Hey Gang! I haven't posted in a long time since my Michael Delaney Rampar build, but I've been keeping tabs - some stellar build-off bikes in the last couple of years!!! I had every intention of entering the BBO this year, but as we're supposed to keep something of a journal in the Forums - and...

    96 Murray USA 6 sp cruiser/klunker - 1st build

That thing's got attitude to spare. It's like - yeah, I'm green, what're you gonna do about it, huh? Kool Klunker!

    "The Jack Bauer" Mockup

I'm sure I can find a spot for an LCD clock - GOT IT: A cooking clock that counts down! shazam! (puts it on the list). I might have to build a "Chloe" after... I might put some lettering on, saying "running out of time!" or something. I'm drawing some inspiration from some...

    "The Jack Bauer" Mockup

's'up guys, This is a longer term build, and if I play my cards right, it should turn out to be just about the most ...... thing on 2 wheels. At least that's the aim. I'm doing the inverted thing for the front part of the frame - an aluminum Mongoose, with a strechted out wheelbase...

    Build #2: neo-board tracker from a 12-speed 1987 Leader

My cousin down the road wasn't using his Leader anymore, and it's been hanging in his garage for years, so he gave it to me. Shoulda taken some "before" pictures... In any case, my IN on this one is light compared to my "Michael Delaney" Rampar...

    Bicycle impressions

I have a scar on my shin from about 27 years ago when by freewheel BMX crank whipped backwards one full rev and the rat trap pedal's "teeth" hit me me flat on the bone. Ouch.

    What Rampar model is this?

Well, close. The fork is the same, but the frame is very different. There are some details that look the same, though: the rear dropouts and the front gusset look identical. On mine they pinned the seat stays where the shock would mount on the Moto Cross. Seriously, I google image'd "Rampar"...

My First Build: The Micheal Delaney Rampar

Thanks guys! If you make a fork like that, throw in more trail: the bike absolutely hates going slow! The front end is all over the place, and the headset is fine. Then again, it may be the Steve McQueen in it....... Left out a few interesting facts in my diary post: - Original Schurmann rims...

My First Build: The Micheal Delaney Rampar

Like all great things, it started with a small idea, something very innocent. We all know how those go, so here's my submission: The Micheal Delaney Rampar. My father-in-law (who rat-rods steam powered boats 8) ) found me this Rampar mystery bike. It's also shown in Bike ID since I can't...

Built for a King.. Size (done)

Nice! Tire choice is spot on. My 2¢ = paint the chain guard black w/white lettering, and you're set! But that's me. Like the clean look; let the bike's natural lines do the talkin'. This one would say "Elementary, my dear Watson", but the Guy Ritchie version... 8)

    What Rampar model is this?

Hey guys, Picked up this old Rampar via my father-in-law, and can't nail down the model. It's a Rampar, but besides that....??? I've gone through some online scans of Rampar catalogues, but no dice. Even sent some pics to Raleigh Canada with the s/n, and no dice. Built in 1978 from the plant...

    New guy in Russell, ON

Good evening fellow Rodders Name's Eric, 37, love bikes! Only started really building bikes this past winter working on an old Rampar. My father-in-law picked it up for me somewhere after, while reminiscing, I told him how much fun it would be to pick up some ratty banana seat bike, clean it...
