I finally got the chance to tear it all down and there was a number of things wrong. 1, it was never assembled correctly, there was way too much play in everything. Two, the rattle was the brake shoes. After things warmed up during a ride, they would rattle and there also wasn't very much...

Now, I'm not so sure. Took it out for a 2 or 3 mile cruise and I still have some weirdness. I'm going to blow the thing apart and see whats up.....

Dooh! I flipped her over to check the chain again as you recommended. Seems some moron (Ummm....me :oops: ) Didn't double check the brake arm when he adjusted the chain the first time around. The felt has a provision to bolt the arm to the frame (a brake arm bracket) instead of clamping...

I checked that first and it seems fine, I'll go double check again. You know how it goes, it will be an obvious head slap when I find it. Thanks :mrgreen:

I searched around for a while first before asking this so if it has been answered somewhere, sorry. Just point me to the right thread please. Anyway, I have a new Felt Cruiser single speed w/ coaster brake. It rides and peddles fine and also has great braking. It only has about 5 miles on it...

I kid of course :) I'm just itch'n to mod out a cruiser. If you want this one let me know. In the mean time, I'm looking for parts for a build.

Hey I just noticed some differences between some of our Felt Frames. Sorry if I'm a little sloooow, but I noticed some of these frames look like they have a weld seam on the main tank area, others do not. Were the earlier ones two piece? Mine has no weld, so I think it must be the hydro...
