Also - where the 2 bars meet the lower bar up front there is a metal bar that goes across (left to right) when sitting on the bike - any idea what that may be for? Never seen anything like that before

    where does the time go?

thanks everyone. Really enjoyed the project which brought back a lot of memories of being a kid, tearing bikes apart and putting them back together...although I don't remember changing tires to be such a pain.

Thanks. Yeah, a previous owner cut it off. The one I got the bike from claimed it wasnt him. Poor thing was painted with latex house paint...which he also claimed to have no part of.

Thanks Merk, thats what I was figuring. Im guessing I'll have to change the forks for the front but more concerned about how the back would look with the extra space. Better yet though, if anyone has pics of this particular setup that would really help me to decide if this is even worth the...

    need advice

Hi, kinda new to the hobby - havent tinkered with bikes since I was a kid. Just wondering - would 26" wheels on a frame designed for 28's look weird? I've got 2 28" frames and 1 set of 28" wheels but wondering about different options for the 2nd frame. Easy enough to test if I had a set of...
