Will the old ten speed frame hold up? It is a real question, it is quite light. If it fails I will just try again...

I tried out something with the fork, i think i could get away with (4) 3/8" bolts as well as longer bolts
I like the chunky-ness of this front end but it may e a bit too fat... Opinions? (1-1/2" emt just under 2" OD)

I'm thinking, "This bike is very cool. The chop, the stance, the forks." I did one Loco Joe chop and on another bike I extended 20" BMX forks with sections of old snow blower handlebars. Nothing this cool and I have never extended a frame like that either. Great job!

Believe it or not, some people try to discourage people from posting on other's threads. It's weird, considering that the entire purpose of a forum is discussion
Yeah, it's a thing.
I work at a science museum, and i really enjoy talking with guests, even though it is not part of my actual job requirements. Most people do not like it if they are not part of front line staff, but i enjoy it, and it really informs my regular work.

Criticism, even unvarnished nastiness, is like ducks off my back! (ha)I am just exploring the medium, and having some fun! I hope it provokes happiness, or even (heated?)conversation
But I will always maintain a cool head; people mis-interpret many of my creations! That is part of the fun! I don't even like ALL my stuff! I just like making stuff!
Yay!

Thanx and, I am glad you like it! I really enjoy messing around building stuff, and it sounds like you do too. I am getting better at making the bikes come out (closer to)how I am imagining, but man, it has taken a bunch of tries! The forks are the latest in a string of experiments, as I try to do something besides banging some tubing over the old forks, which actually works great(!) With this method I think I could switch the long tubes out for a different length, change the wheel, and keep the stance the same- convertable

Oh, and thanks for commenting!

That’s awesome! I’m of the upinyun that u need like the fork supports of a triple tree fork. Ur prolly gonna do that tho huh?
thanks for commenting!
That is a good idea, not so much for support, but just cuz it looks a bit wierd (IMO) with the fork tops "waving" in the air, un-attached - The build and front end remind me a bit of those Jesse James choppers from Wally.
This is just me playing around with not much plan, and the fork is a new idea I had. Those fat tubes un-bolt and I could try different lengths, wheels etc. A bit of fun on my last week of furlough... Work is fun but noet as fun as building bikes!

Great design on that fork and the frame mods are pretty sweet too!
That fork concept is crazy cool. Definitely needs more mass in the stem and bars to keep it going. Or handleborks
Thanks Dr. T and Cap'n A ! I really appreciate the feedback!
Part of this idea is that i can unbolt the extension(s) on the fork(s) and try out diff lengths and wheels etc. It is sometimes hard to dial that stuff in when I am building freehand
