rim/balloon tire question

this might be a stupid question, but 1.75 rims can take 2.125 tires, right? But would I want to get 1.75 rims or 2.125 rims if I had both available to me? I am going to buy a new set of wheels for some 2.125 balloon tires and I am not sure what to do here. Thanks in advance for the sage advice that I will undoubtedly receive from this forum!

I think it would probably work out just fine. But, you might as well get the 2.125 rims.

yeah id go with the 2.215's also(although the new schwinns have 1.75 rims but run balloon tires the just dont look quite right to me like that :? )

went with a pair of 2.125's from bikeworldusa.com, great deal on the wheels and shipping. I am gonna be rollin FAT!
