Okay it’s time to put this all in one place. So I found this bike through a guy on cl who I guess sells more than his fair share of vintage Schwinn. Shipping was close to $5K and he generously offered to take off all the parts I was going to replace to save us both money and hassle. I declined knowing that a bike I can ride collects much less dust than a frame. Anyway my dad had a 1970’s Raleigh with a host of Campagnolo bits which I scavenged. The plan is to pair as much of those parts with the Schwinn frame in a Klunker style. We’ll see how it goes.
