Okay it’s time to put this all in one place. So I found this bike through a guy on cl who I guess sells more than his fair share of vintage Schwinn. Shipping was close to $5K and he generously offered to take off all the parts I was going to replace to save us both money and hassle. I declined knowing that a bike I can ride collects much less dust than a frame. Anyway my dad had a 1970’s Raleigh with a host of Campagnolo bits which I scavenged. The plan is to pair as much of those parts with the Schwinn frame in a Klunker style. We’ll see how it goes.

Campy headset
Campy bottom bracket, cranks & chainring
Campy High-Flange Front Hub with track axle
Sachs Automatic 2-speed hub
Gerry Burgess stem
El Cheapo Bars (to be powder coated cream along with the rims)
Wellgo (and willgo eventually) pedals
Brooks B-17 now on the bike

Maybe its Zimbabwe or Jamaican Dollars, I think an apple cost about $3,000 in Zimbabwe. I don't like those bars though, too high, narrow. they look like bars off a little bmx. Gotta have some faster bars with the campy stuff. What kind of rims are you using?
