New Toy On The Road!

1950 Chevy Short Bed PU

Been eyeballin this truck for a while. Spent alot of time last weekend on our rod run with the owner. It's now mine.

The truck is approx. a year old build. The body has been channelled on to a late model chevy (99) chassis. Built 383 Stroker motor, 700R(4) tranny, 273 rear. Rides great, and this truck will flat, git-it!!!!

Nice! Great to see it has period correct '47-'50 doors with no wing windows and the turn down style door handles. ('51 was first year for vent windows, '52 for the push button door handles)

Thanks guys. Lots of plans for this one. More then likely, different wheels, steallies (green theme still will be present on new wheels) and tires, Ron Meyers will have a day with the truck to go nuts, pinstriping, Rat Finking, and Flying Eyeballing. Custom headers are being built at present.

Well, Ron Myers spent another friday at my place. Some of you will remember the thread I did on him striping my stretch roadster bike.

This time I had him attack the 50 PU. Here's a couple of pics of some of the work.

Next step is Rocket "gray" "Igniter" wheels. The green wheels are a little much for me.
