I've found this bike last fall. It's not super fresh but I guess winter kept it in the cold.
It's a 80's Murray Bio Tech. Apparently they are cheap bikes that were sold to Wal Mart and such. I think it looks weird.

Looks like a great source for spare parts, maybe to build a multispeed cruiser. I have a similar 83' Huffy Sequoia that is going to be parted out, along with the new aluminum wheels from a 2011 Next and it's suspension fork to rebuild my 83' Columbia Clipper as a mountain or trail bike. And yeah, department stores sold the snot out of these.

put white tires and a white seat on it. Add a red siren. Wear a stethoscope and ride around calling yourself the 'bike doctor'. done.

Oddly enough I’ve been researching this bike because I have one. Toss up on hybridization with another. Is it a mountain, touring, or (as stated on the frame) a fitness bike? I was under the impression that ten speeds with flat bars were the true fitness bike (or at least that’s what they nicknamed them on the Florida Panhandle)

Of course my vernacular of “ten speeds” was meant to be synonymous with drop bar road bikes. I’m from a certain era…..
