Well feel free to borrow anything you've seen me do. Thanks for the good words!

I picked up a different KMC chain today but my 23T cog won't be here until Tuesday.

I have the white version on the bike now. Not sure which will look best. Any ideas out there? No guarantees that you will gain fame, but sound off.

A few quick night shots with lighting systems test.

I tweaked the fit of the crossbar tonight.

Hopefully I'll pickup my rear cog on Tuesday and get the drivetrain finished and rideable. The nameplates are in the works.

Black or silver with red and black chain?

I was thinking that the battery compartment was pretty much done. In one of my antique/flea market haunts I run across this NOS cookie/pastry press. Never used...with copper accent parts.

Same brand and size, interchangeable. Think I will at least see how it would look before I cut it up. If you haven't been following this is where it goes.

Already have a few copper bits...

I added the copper tone top and bottom to battery compartment. Before and after shots.

Any thoughts? Going to change out rear cog and chain next.

Definitely go with the copper. Very nice.
Yah my wife agrees on the copper so you know how that goes most of the time. Thanks for the input.

I like the new copper accents and the idea of dulling them down a bit.

For those following this build thread you may notice a few changes in iAM HIGGINS. The battery compartment cap is off being weathered, salt water, vinegar and Minwax.

Some are hard to see from these sunny photos.

The photos above were taken after a disastrous test ride. I had changed out the chain and rear cog. I had everything buttoned up and adjusted...so I went for a shake down cruise. Everything seem to be working fine till I applied the brake. I came to an abrupt stop to say the least with things locking up with tire jammed into one stay.
(A word of caution be sure you bolt the brake lever to the stay and double check that you did.)
After getting the left side axle nut loose, which was really tight, I was able to readjust the lock nut on the drive side to get things rolling again. Not one of the fun parts to this build.

Last years Kustom Coaster III had the paint damaged on the right side fork when it was last bike standing in a domino effect bike fall. It was at a windy day bike show. Anyway tried to spot paint it but it didn't work out so I took it apart and repainted the fork. Just enough Aged Copper left in can to do it. It will be looking good again.
