I am hoping for 1 more month of it. Our weather is taken a turn for the worse, but central Washington is expecting 2-3 feet of new snow in the next few days. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

That would be nice. Going up for our last night of racing. Maybe some more pitchers(oops I meant Pictures) will come.

winter basically never came to CT. Ya we got walloped with 18" of heavy wet stuff in October when the leaves were still on the trees (what a mess), but then nothing after that. It's been the warmest winter I can remember. I've ridden every weekend. And lately it's been in the 60s.

So I didn't get to use my snowshoes, crampons, Kahtoolas, nothing. Lame.

We are still playing up here. We just got back from skiing at Anthony Lakes by Baker,OR. It has highest base elevation in the Northwest at 7100 feet. We were in our RV plus my brother and friends brought 4 more RVs. We stayed right on the ski hill.

Upper 50's to the low 80's all week here. Great riding weather. Not too hot and not too cold.

Looks like I forgot about this thread. The West is having a very poor snow/water year. I have been skiing twice a week at the local ski hill but nothing too epic. I am still volunteering with the handicap and disabled ski program.

I am on my way to a hopefully an epic ski trip. Going on a backcountry trip into the Wallowa's this weekend. We will stay in a yurt at night and ski during the day......no lifts.

I was wondering when you were going to update this thread. I like to see your skiing pictures. Have a great time on the back country skinning/skiing trip.

I got back to winter hiking/climbing this year since we're having a real winter. I put a picture of my Mt Washington trip a couple weeks ago in the US thread.

Not many pictures yet of the trip. Some of the best powder skiing that I have had. 4 days of knee deep fluffy stuff definitely helped get my SOUL POW for the year. I always forgot my camera at the yurt. But the view out the front door was pretty amazing.

Our Wednesday night race league has started again. We started wearing costumes last season and are making it a tradition.
