Kev, Nice bike. The "R" stands for Real Old.

Is there just the one wingnut on the axle? I have 2 of these and looking for 2 more.

That would be a nice addition to your selfnamed rat.

Now you have to talk Kev out it.

hey

hey sorry i am not much help. I bought my hiawathi off of ebay and it was being sold as a '43 and thats the only reason i have. for all i know it could be anything.

heres how

Well like i said i am no expert at dating hiawathas, HOWEVER i did discover a neat trick tonight while i was taking apart the '43. APPARENTLY the bike was assembled before the invention of torque wrenches... EVERY freaking bolt and screw, except ONE was stripped. It was a nightmare. I hope you have better luck than i did if you are planning on disassembling yours.

Thanks again for all the Help ( I'll watch for the Striped Bolts BoyWonder )

....and Gerry, I'm pretty excited about This one as well.
