I was doing some stone work at my house, and to score and cut the masonary, I picked up a $10 HF grinder. I didn't want the grit to ruin my good grinder. The job got done, it's still running like new, and since it small and light I usually reach for it first.

Not a tool for the professional, but for the occasional use around the house, it's just fine. When it dies, I'll just dump it in the trash and consider it already paid it's way.

My Dewalt 41/2" grinder just died. Has any one used the cheap Hargor freight ones?

I have used my $15 HF cheapie, hard, for years. I used to do quite a bit of welding, and grinding, and it has held up to everything I've thrown at it, for about what -- five years now?

Harbor Freight grinders are for girls!
