An old Roadmaster....but no idea what else it is

I can pick this up for $20...any idea what it is or how old it is based on this picture?

Is it worth anything?

Good buy for $20.00, I'd buy it. Probably late 60's early 70's. Someone else will know for sure.

AMF. B.F.W.'s time estimate sounds right to me, based on the straight down tube.

pretty sure that reflector is early 80's .. i remember 70's cateyes being round... :roll: roadmaster made bikes in the US till 91 or something like that so it may be later?? :?

Looks early 70's but I don't see a BMI certificate on the seat tube, but the roadmaster decal looks late 70's. It looks in good shape, fenders are clean looking and pedals/handlegrips look like the bike hasn't crashed. Is that a bike registration on the lower part of the seat tube? It may have a year on it. It's probably a bike that wasn't ridden much. For 20 bucks, you can't beat it.

if it were in my hood, I'd buy it for $20.. spend another $20 on new white walls and tubes, and ride it.

It's not high on the 'collectable' bike list, but it is cool and retro looking.
