Hi everybody! So, I've always wanted a cycle truck. I've tried to grab one for a reasonable price for a while now to no avail. I've had this 50 something 3-star (as far as I'm aware) for a bit now. It's been a board tracker, a chopper, a muscle bike. You name it I've tried it and never been too happy with any of them. So here's my attempt. Probably going to be a slow poke on this until the muscle bike buildoff is over (viewtopic.php?f=43&t=68143).

Here's the last basic incarnation.

Choppy chop!

A little chainlink fence cross tube for a headtube?! Why not! Thanks for the heads up Luke!

Then magic happened... or I forgot to take a bunch of pictures.

Tonight I'm hoping to get the basic basket built and take some pictures of my wonky fork extension/ double rear rim. Either way I'm stoked to build this one!

They are so much fun. Its looking good so far. Good luck with your build.

Thanks! The one you picked up was the inspiration to start on this. I figured why wait when I have a welder and a big ole' pile of parts!

Nice one Terry!
My next build looks like being a cycle truck too, see what Uncle Stretch has started!
I will be starting with a girls 22 inch Malvern Star, going to convert it to 24 inch rear with a 20 front...

Love your build so far, I will be watching with interest!

Luke.

Ok. So I slapped everything together with a spare rear wheel before I relace the double rim. This beast rides like a dream.

When I got back I disassembled everything and started working on the front mount. I'm planning on making a couple of bolt on accessories including a basket, a tire/wheel rack, and a fishing rod rack!

Cool! How does it ride? Like A dream I see. What style of basket are you going to use?

I'm probably going to build a metal base frame from angle and a wooden crate style upper. I'm going to see what the strongest setup I can get is.

Very nice indeed Terry!

Here, some inspiration for you...

Thanks guys! That's pretty much exactly what I wanted to do as far as the basket base! I'm hoping the bolt through mounts will be strong enough to hold a somewhat decent amount of weight. This will be less of an engineering fiasco with that reference at least.

Chuck has a bunch of baskets that would work on a build. Not sure on the shipping.
You have to admit they are just cute. They ride like a regular bike and then looking
at that small wheel out front is just fun. Looking good so far.

Thanks bud! The couple of blocks I rode were a blast. It's a funny feeling looking at the 20". It's steadier than anything I've built thus far but feels like I'm standing on a cliff looking over the bars.

It will change with a basket and especially since it stays straight when you turn.
Kinda a weird feeling.

The snow ruined my welding and fitment plans for the night. I decided to lace up the double rim instead and throw on the ww brick I just grabbed of eBay. Mo fatta!!

Thanks dude. I just clamped 2 old columbia rims together and welded between the 2. I'll take a pic when I pop the rim off to paint tomorrow. That is if the snow stops.
