hey dude! can't you go with the weathered look and just clean and clear coat? i got a bad feeling when i thought of that cool old bike in a hamerite finish. almost like sacrilege. just my 2cents...

disastrous idea those pneumatic brakes. how can you generate enough pressure to apply any noteworthy force on those brakes? huge too! they prob thought "brakes that are THAT huge must be VERY powerful just by nature" but i must admit they have a very high cool factor!

Re: front wheel drive recumbent thanks. the seat is fastened with three heavy duty hose clamps. i decided to paint the bike black/khaki camouflage.

i got bored so i build this recumbent. not a very pretty bike but it does the job! it has a five speed hub and the backrest is made from a fork.

the idea of bamboo bikes isn't new : this bike is over a hundred years old.

there's a neracar in original condition in the Royal Automobile Museum in Brussels . I was there a couple of months ago and they are pretty awesome machines. too bad about the FN engine though, those things are rare and far superior to the henderson four-in-lines of the same era .it belongs in...
