I had a visible bulge in my bellybutton, but no discomfort. Then, one day, playing with Lil Thundrrr, I took a punch to the gut. As I lay on the floor, trying to breathe through the pain, I thought to myself, "if I can get beat up by a two year old, there might be a problem here"
Got the gut done and got fixed at the same time, one in the guts, one in the nuts
Well the dog jumped into my lap the other day and it was immediate shooting pain and waves of nausea. Got into the Dr on Friday for a consult. Surgery for sure

Unfortunately can’t get in right away so I’ll be taking it easy for awhile and even more disappointing is my gravel race on 10/28 won’t be happening

I never knew until today that Alfred E. Newman was a Rat rod bicyclist.

I love the golden era of scooters
I owned a red scooter for a short time when I was a kid, and it had four wheels.

I don’t recall the brand name but it seems to me that it was German made.

Probably something brought back from a G.I. in the Air Force and my mom picked it up at the thrift store.

It just had a straight vertical tube for the steering handle in front, with no T-bar.

The wheels were steel with solid rubber tires about 5 inches in diameter.

But this scooter was unique in that it had steering linkage which made it lean like a skateboard, under control of the handle.

It was in the early 60s and I have not seen one before or since.

Predecessor to the Honda Kick N Go

Sounds a bit like the Swiss "Wetzer", but they came out in the late 90ties.

Or the other scooter invented in Switzerland by a Dutch, the Micro Kickboard (also late 90ties)

Would be interesting to see a picture of said 60ties scooter...

That Studebaker looks like a Raymond Loewy design with those long streamlines on the hood.
I agree. His 53 Stude' design remains one of the most beautiful, ahead of it's time cars ever made.

They were lovely but you know what they said about those cars? You were lucky to get the hood to open and close right, after they left the factory. Soooo much hood, the cars flexed under them enough to cause minor misalignment.

I have been looking on the Internet for a photo, with no luck. The scooter turned up in the secondhand store on Larson Air Force Base, which means it could’ve come from anywhere in the world.

Even Canada, as we were close to the border.
