Rusty513 and I are restoring an X-53. I have a ? about the wheels. After dissasembling the wheels I noticed the front hub has a weird stamp and says made in germany. The back hub is the correct W.F. skip tooth, both rims are just cheep unstamped flat 26x1.375. I want to make sure these are correct before I go lacing them back up. Any help?

Does the front hub stamp look like a "U" with some other stuff? That refers to a "Union" hub, and I believe is correct for the bike. I have a couple in the bomb shelter, If I DO NOT repost, the above answer is correct. Have fun!

Yeah, it's like a shield with a "U" in it, then "made in Germay." I wish I had a pic of it but it sounds like I don't need one. Thanks!
