What is this crazy trike?

Where's the drive? front wheel?. It looks like a retrofit, the cranks are now a foot rest? I bet that guy has some big forearms!

There must be a crank that we can't see in the photo or one that slide into or over the end/ends of the bars.

Maybe he uses the crank from the victrola! I wonder if he just twists the hand grips? Can't imagine that would be enough.

That is one strange looking contraption, I don't think you would be strong enough to just twist the grips by way of front wheel drive. Looks like its in some Euro country because of the small looking bottom bracket. Probably France, seen some wierd looking bikes come from over there.
