I picked this up to do a bike with... It was listed as a J.C. Higgins frame... Can anyone help me with a few questions...
What exactly is it?
It has stamped on the bottom...
MOD 52, 47501Y, 41 83 88
Anything like the year and model would be great... Where to find a seatpost and seat etc...

They introduced the new JC Higgins line of bikes, including your syle frame, in 1947, and used it thru 1953 if not later. Best place to find parts besides here or the Cabe would be ebay.. ~Adam

Cool! I didnt think it was that old. I'm looking forwardc to making thi into my new personal ride! Thanks for the information. Is there a website anywhere for old JC Higgins bikes?
