I found this bike in the garage after Dad passed away and have seen enough American Pickers to know that it may be worth something.

There doesn’t seem to be any manufacturer markings anywhere, only a few decals, including one from what I assume is the shop that sold the bike.

I cannot find any numbers on the bike. I’ve looked under the crank housing, the seat tube, the steering neck, and found nothing.

The brake is a New Departure Model “D”

Any help on who made it would be much appreciated.

Welcome! The Model D came out in late 1933, at the tail end of the 'Motobike' era (1907-34ish). The frames are hard to tell apart. This one looks like a tall frame, possibly made by Mead, Schwinn, or Shelby. More info can be found at the Classic & Antique Bicycle Exchange forums. -Adam
