so i have the 120 volt harborfrieght flux core welder and am welding emt conduit 3/4" and 1" any advise on settings for wire speed and if it should be on high or low. I have tried on both and the steel is so thin ive been burning through not sure if i should increase wire speed or what? help.
and i know not to weld with out getting the galvanised part off.

it reall varies on your personal welding technique, I weld HOT and Fast on this material i would be quick on the trigger, i'd draw tack in three places (evenly spaced) and then on one side of the tack i'd weld in a letter "c" motion just 2 quick c's then move to the next tack and do it on the other side of it. (repeat till finished) you dot want to let yer metal get too hot or yer gonna be cussin and fillin holes.

You really don't need to remove the coating, just weld it outside on in a well vented place.
