Pretty cool, but with that mounting spring (?) would you be able to pedal?
Frame has a wonderful flow with that hood and the wide front axle.

No, it would be too tall. The spring would have to go. Again with the cracks I’m afraid to take it apart.
Thanks!

Just caught up on many pages of work. Love this build, especially showing what you can do without welding.

Thanks for taking a look. Yep no welds, no adhesives. Just blood, sweat, tears, steel, some eBay parts, hardware parts and mechanical fasteners. I did cut the ends off a donor fork.

Pity, because the seat itself is perfect for the build.

Maybe a normal seat for riding and a CI tractor seat for display.

I am sorry to break in your project with my content again, but I like the steering wheel you are using in combination with the bike handlebars! Pretty awesome!
It reminds me of something a collegue is riding, so I took a picture of it!

Ofcourse this looks like buildof material here  At first I thought this was a pizza delivery bike... you know the steering wheel made for round shapes.

The tractor seat looks great to! I wonder if it needs some chopping to get the pedals to move comfortably. Or to fold it partially down at the sides so the sitting area is a bit more narrow, but that is maybe not possible because it is cast iron?

Working on A-Frame rods today. New angle brackets, 3/8” steel rod. Deciding on brackets at front or through beam mounting at front.

I wonder who will win the heaviest 3 wheeler, you or me?

Tell me about it, hope the rods are going to wrap up the weight/ballast contest. I really didn’t imagine the potential beef in this at the start. But then again there’s the CI seat... ought to rename this “Boat Anchor”.

Thinking the mechanical components of this build are about done, some fine tuning down the road. Buttoned up the A-Rods. Bottom view ahead.

Cut the rods to length, threaded ends, and double nutted up.

You forgot "colorful language" on that ^ list.

So one question MF, is your wife's car now going to be parked in the street? This Trike-tor needs a prominent place in the driveway....

As far as the seat goes, I agree that it is out of scale, and you would kill your glutes and hammies on the front edge of that thing pedaling. What about just a 'tractor style' bicycle seat, where you would be comfortable, have style, and still be able to pedal?

Or, get one of these, really cheap, and you can do some 'rat-ification' to it!

Probably was some, good escape from reality though.

“Trike-Tor”, May need to copyright that term. Thinking it need to sit out and let the other metal catch up with the hood. Wife’s car already delegated to drive due to bike stuff in garage. Street isn’t going to happen soon.

Your seat idea has possibilities. I also have a nice cushy wide load saddle. A few years ago one of our antique shops had a CI seat that resembled an actual bicycle seat/saddle. They were real proud of it, it would have been perfect for the “Trike-Tor” build.

Hard to find but there are riding lawn mower seats that resemble full scale tractor seats that would fit your scale perfect. Also a bit late but did you think about tilting your wheels in a bit like racing wheelchairs? Definitely would add stability.

Carl.
