Vintage JC Penny's track bike

I have been slowly working on this bike for about six months already. Here are some pictures of what we have already been through together.

It started out as a JC Penny's 26inch Racer.

After cleaning 15 years worth of dirt and grime off of the bike:

Sanded down with original wheels and drop bars:

Here it is Painted blue and white with MTB bars and a BMX crank, arms, and pedals:

And here is the most recent picture. Color change to yellow, and added polished up vintage wheels with a internally geared 3-speed hub:

Cool. First thought thru my head when I saw the bike in the tub...good idea but I could never get away with it or could I ? :lol:
