trying to figure out year of my hawthorn girls bike.

this bike has been sitting in my front yard for a long time now. it used to be overgrown with a vine and I uncovered it and now use it as yard art. I know it is not worth restoring but would like to know the year of it. it is a 24" girls motgomery ward hawthorne bike.

That badge makes it a 50 at the oldest. It should have a serial on the BB, which should likely be followed by a code, something Like ACw or 51,2,3,or4 Cw. So probably a 50-54. -Adam

That would be a 1950. If you look closely after the "A" there should be a "C" with a small "w" inside which stands for Cleveland Welding

ok thanks for the pinpointing the year. will have to take a wire brush to the serial number to look for the C and w.
