I built this for a guy last year to take down to burning man. I built the wooden jig around the trike first so when I cut the frame both halves would stay lined up. I then built the new stays that added about 16 inches to the over all length. After that I got working on all the framing for the back seat. I got the idea for the trash can lids on the wheels from one of the RatRod members. It's got an electric front hub an gas motor out back, LED lighting, stereo and cooler for drinks. Anyway just thought you guys would like to see it and maybe spark some inspiration.
Cheers,
Nate

Very cool! That's an amazing amount of work too!!!
BRAVO!

Thanks guys, glad you like it! It's nice to be able to share it with other builders, especially when I had been inspired buy a lot of the work you guys are doing. I don't remember how many hours I put into it, hundreds any way... Yeah Skipton, that's where I got the idea for the trash can lid wheel covers. Thanks for the link.

very nice... very creative .. nice fab work
i did not go this year.. but I would have put that thing in my truck if i did ... burning man is a great
place to get bikes .. people leave them by the 100's each year...

You inspire me. Love trike builds. I think we'd have a happier world if more people rode trikes, especially like yours!!!

Dude that thing rocks! I love the forks. They look like they should have big sparks arcing across.

Thanks, those are actually insulators for hi-voltage lines. They are rubbery. And, the blue cylinders on the side of the back seat are fuel filters. This was a complimentary project to a much larger build that I did making an art car for burning man. The car is based of a e-z go golf cart. It's a 60s/70s era si-fi lunar rover. The trike was built to be somewhat of a satellite vehicle for the rover. I incorporated another larger set of "shocks" on the front end of the rover too. Almost all of the cool techey parts where surplus nasa and aviation stuff. So I know this is diverging from the original topic but I figured you guys would appreciate it.
