Well I got it all broken down last night, so today after work I sandblasted the frame and gave it a coat of sandable primer. Now if the weather cooperates I might get some painting done yet before the weekend is through.
I have to go in Monday for surgery on my left hand and thumb (arthritis), so I’m going to get behind for a little while.

Thanks. They’re going to replace the basil joint in my thumb and scrape the joints in the wrist.

I do like the littlefoot.

A few years back, kickstand up.
3/8" stock grinder carved toenails and balls of the foot. A little torch work to "bronze" it a bit.

I don’t remember where I first saw the foot, but I’ve been putting them on every bike I’ve built for years now. Most of the locals recognize my bikes by it. I tell everyone I’m a copy cat, not my own original idea for sure!

Well I started painting the frame yesterday, then the weather changed and now I’m at a stand still for awhile.

Hopefully tomorrow will be clear, warmer and dry and I can get back to the paint.

Went to the city this morning and got a haircut, bought groceries and came home. In that 3 hr time frame the skies cleared, the rain quit, and the temps rose. So I masked up the frame and gave it more paint.

Got it unmasked and clear coated today. I also got my head tube badge painted. Going to leave it all sit now for a week or so, I won’t be able to use my left hand for awhile anyway.

Well I made it through the surgery, now to take it easy for the next couple of weeks.

Not much going on with the build the last couple of weeks since my surgery, but I did manage to get my chrome wrap around chain guard in a OA bath this weekend. I pulled it out after 48 hrs and rinsed it off and wiped it down , then put it back in the bath for another 24. Didn’t get any pics, kind of hard to do it one handed.

Just caught up. Really sweet build so far. Love twin bikes, especially cool ones like this!

Went back to the surgeon today and had the stitches removed. Now I have to wear this brace for the next six weeks and start physical therapy next week. Hopefully everything will heal and return to better than normal !

Hopefully time will pass quickly and things will be better than normal by Christmas.

Well I can still do a little one handed. Flipped my frame upside down on a rod in my vice. Got the kickstand back on and the rear wheel set on it. Going to have to see if I can get my neighbor to give me a hand with the rest of the build

I like them just for the fact it gives me more flexibility in my shop.

Yes, and you have no tubes stretching across the floor - simply neat and tidy, and you can roll them out of the way when you don't need them.

Well I spent a little time out in the shop yesterday and got a little more assembled. I was able to get the fork, front wheel and crank/chain installed. It’s getting there, just not fast.

Plenty of time. Still have all of November as well so no rush
