Alright, it was time to get this machine back on the road. Neighbor down the street sold me a mid '80s Huffy womens 3spd for 5 bucks. Now I have enough parts to restore the hand brakes, update the gearing, and some decent grips and bars.
Heres the starting point.

I think this is a Murray sprocket, so much for full OEM resto, but that's not what this bike is intended for. Note gashes made from a chainguard.

Rim on new rear wheel was junk. Luckly I had another hoop laying around, here's my transfer method.

Bike is a darn fine rider, but seat is like straddling a fence.
 
Great Resto Rat! I definitely put a stop to riding the fence.....ouch!

OK, now I remember where this came from! an AMF with a broken frame.
