This bike is being built for my wife. We love to ride and she was a little jealous of "Ben Davis"

Her theme, her vision, my passion

Starting with a 1957 Schwinn Hornet (Bought on Craigslist from Oregon).

Fenders are beat to S* from rust, but salvageable.

Really stoked about the light, rack, and tank.

Re: The British Agent

Nice. I almost built one just like it for my old lady! A bit rustier though... Got her a more complete one CList instead.
Have fun with it!

Re: The British Agent

The Doc is right. Sorry about that, my mistake. The bike is a Hornet. Don't know why I wrote that. I have never really been a big fan of the Stingray.

Re: The British Agent

Busy month so far, but I have some updates. Going with a White and Red theme so far. Got the bike back from the powder coaters the other day. I realize that this now disqualifies the bike under the rules of BB6. However, I am going to continue the progress and finish.

I have done several rattle can jobs and decided for this project to make it last. Really pleased with Maas Brothers in Livermore.

Since this bicycle is for my wife, a lot of the parts are bought to keep weight down and last a long time. Original items: Frame, Head Set, Crank/Sprocket, Seat Post and Tightener, Fenders, Tank, Light, Rack possible Handle Bars.

She has an idea for the Fenders, will know this weekend if it works out.
