Need some info (year, etc) on my newest find, oh and anybody have a skip tooth wheelset they are looking to sell? preferably with the finned hubs.......

There must have been a lot of these Elgin's rolling around back in the day. I've had 3 over the last couple of years and they are all over the site. Nice find.

Let me look this weekend , I think I have a finned JC Higgins rear hub and rim, I will let you know Monday

It looks like a Westfield (Columbia) frame. They built most Elgins til 37 or so, then Murray built most, thru the JC Higgins era. Not entirely though, I have seen other Westfield JCH's, but not many! Should be 3 things stamped on the BB. "MOD 502", then a 4 or 5 digit #, then another # under that. I can tell the year fairly close by that 2nd #, which is the catalog #. -Adam
