I have the 2010 Straight 8, with the new single crown fork but REALLLLY want the triple tree forks. Are there black ones available and (Rockabillly style) and where would I get them? I'd love a part number if anyone has it.

Also, my next plans are to put this seat post with the shim because I like the seat low and want a longer stretch.

Anyone have a better suggestion? I have heard warnings about these posts cracking the frame tubing. Should I go with this one instead?

Last, I want to paint my spokes a different color, what's the best way of doing this?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and possibly help me out!

Man, that looks like a longggg neck on that frame! I know long steertubes are available for aftermarket forks, but it sounds like you want to stay with factory parts? If not, take a look here: http://www.custommotoredbicycles.com for some aftermarket stuff.
FWIW, I have chrome tripletree forks on two bikes but kinda like the slightly curvy look of your fork, as is, with a curvy frame.

Is yours a 1" or 1 1/8" steerstem now? How long is the frame neck?
You might want to look a little farther down on that site at the '29" fork', it has a much longer steertube and still looks about right to me for the axle up to the underside.

Ok I'm clearly an absolute noob. Where would I measure to find out if my steer stem is 1" or 1 1/8? Is that the tube part attached to the fork that goes in the frame?

Frame Neck is 9.5"

Thanks!
