Haven't seen a thread so I started one.
Please identify your stem.
This is one my Dad made in 1982, it features a removable upper, you can leave the quil in the fork for maintenance.

This one has a long quil, Dad made titanium short ones also. In total he made 6 of this variation, 4 of these stems are m.I.a.

had a buddy weld this one for me:

I attempted to scribe a Celtic dragon on this super long stem. Didn't come out very good:

YOUR DAD WAS WAY AHEAD OF HIS TIME ON THAT ONE! SOOOO COOL! LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE THE THREADLESS STEMS OF TODAY!

The mia stems are in the hands of homees I pray! 2 bikes were stolen with them.
My brother had one. My uncle had one. I have 1 and my best friend has 1. So, 2 are/were in Battle Creek Michisuck and being hidden from me. Knowing my propensity for violence I do not blame the thieves for hiding them.
Dad also made a couple other ones, we know where they are.
Thanks for the compliments.
Someday I hope to own a Bridgeport knee mill.
